About This Service
Counselling built for young minds
Our young people's counselling service is available to anyone aged 13–18 who is experiencing emotional difficulty, whether that's anxiety about school, problems at home, struggles with friendships, or feelings they find hard to name.

Debbie brings 21 years of experience working with teenagers in education, meaning she genuinely understands the pressures and challenges young people face today. Sessions are shaped around each young person's individual needs, pace, and communication style, never forced, never scripted.
What We Work With
You don't need to struggle alone
Young people often experience emotional difficulty in ways that feel overwhelming and isolating. Whatever brings you here, big or small, it's valid, and we're ready to listen. Here are some of the common areas we support young people with.
Anxiety & Worry
Exam pressure, social anxiety, panic attacks, or a constant feeling of dread. We help young people understand and manage anxiety in practical, lasting ways.
Bullying
Whether in person or online, bullying can be deeply damaging. We provide a safe space to process the impact and rebuild confidence and self-worth.
Low Self-Esteem
Feeling not good enough, comparing yourself to others, struggling with body image or identity. We help young people recognise their own value and strengths.
Family Difficulties
Parental separation, conflict at home, blended family challenges, or feeling unseen by those closest to you. We offer a space that's entirely your own.
Bereavement & Loss
Losing someone whether a person, a pet, or a relationship can be especially hard to process as a young person. We walk alongside you through grief.
Depression & Low Mood
Persistent sadness, withdrawal, or a loss of interest in things you once enjoyed. We help young people understand their feelings and find light again.
Self-Harm
A deeply personal and often misunderstood experience. We provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to help young people find healthier ways to cope.
Relationships & Loneliness
Friendships, romantic relationships, identity, and belonging. Feeling lonely in a crowd is one of the most common and most painful experiences for young people.
School & Exam Pressure
The pressure to perform academically can be overwhelming. We help young people manage stress, build resilience, and put their worth in proper perspective.
Addiction & Substance Use
Whether experimenting or struggling, we offer open, non-judgmental conversations about substance use and help young people find healthier coping strategies.
Identity & Sexuality
Navigating gender identity, sexuality, or simply figuring out who you are. Our space is safe, affirming, and free from any judgement.
Abuse & Trauma
If you've experienced any form of abuse, emotional, physical, or otherwise you deserve safe support. We work sensitively and carefully with trauma at every step.
Our Approach
Therapy that actually works for young people
Young people often respond best to a flexible, creative approach, one that doesn't feel like sitting across from a clipboard. Debbie adapts her style to meet each young person where they are, using conversation, reflection, and a toolkit of evidence-based techniques.

Sessions are designed to feel more like a guided conversation than a formal appointment. There's no fixed agenda, no judgement, and no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready.
Person-Centred Therapy
The young person leads, Debbie listens, reflects, and follows at the pace that feels right. Warmth and unconditional positive regard at the core of every session.
Creative & Expressive Approaches
For young people who find it easier to express themselves indirectly, we use creative techniques alongside talk, whatever feels most natural.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Practical tools to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
Psychoeducation
Helping young people understand what's happening in their mind and body, knowledge that removes shame and gives them the power to make positive change.
