Why online counselling
As effective as being in the room
Research consistently shows that online counselling produces outcomes equivalent to in-person therapy. And for many people, especially those dealing with anxiety, mobility challenges, busy schedules or simply living far from our Eccleshall studio, online sessions open a door that might otherwise stay closed.

Our online sessions are delivered over a secure, encrypted video link or by telephone. Your counsellor is the same qualified, BACP-accredited therapist you'd see face-to-face, just through a screen.

The only real difference is that you don't have to leave your home.
Your own comfortable space
Many people find it easier to open up when they're somewhere they feel safe and familiar. Your bedroom, your kitchen, your garden, wherever feels right for you.
No travel time, no waiting rooms
A session can fit between a lunch break and a meeting, or after the kids are in bed. Without the commute, counselling becomes genuinely practical for busy lives.
Access from anywhere in the UK
Whether you're in Staffordshire, Stornoway or somewhere in between, if you have a reasonable internet connection, we can work together.
Accessible for everyone
If you find leaving the house difficult due to anxiety, physical disability, chronic illness or caring responsibilities, online counselling removes that barrier entirely.
Just as confidential
Our video platform uses end-to-end encryption. Nothing is recorded. Everything you share is held to the same strict confidentiality as an in-person session.
What to expect
A real session, through a screen
People often wonder if online counselling can feel as meaningful as sitting in the same room. Here's what a session actually looks like.
01
You'll receive a secure link by email
No app to download, no account to create. Click the link at session time and you're in. We use an encrypted, NHS-grade video platform.
02
Your counsellor joins on time, from theirs
Debbie joins from a calm, private environment on her side, maintaining the same professional, composed presence you'd experience in person.
03
A full hour, just the two of you
The session unfolds exactly as it would face-to-face. The same quality of listening, the same care, the same confidentiality.
04
You choose how to wind down
No drive home to decompress in. After your session you can make a cup of tea, take a short walk, or simply sit quietly. Your time, your space.
Your privacy
Secure, encrypted and completely confidential
We know that trust is everything in counselling, and online counselling can raise understandable questions about privacy. Here's exactly how we protect yours.

Sessions are delivered over an end-to-end encrypted video platform. Nothing is recorded without your explicit consent. No session content is stored, shared, or accessible to any third party.

The same strict confidentiality code that governs our in-person sessions, rooted in BACP's ethical framework, applies in full online.
End-to-end encrypted
Your video session cannot be intercepted or accessed by anyone outside the call, not even us after it ends.
Never recorded
We do not record sessions. No video or audio is ever stored from your calls.
BACP ethics apply
Our full confidentiality obligations, including the narrow legal exceptions, are identical online and in person.
NHS-grade platform
We use a video platform that meets the same security standards required for NHS clinical use in the UK.
